Happy Halloween!

Hello everyone!

It's finally that time of year again where the house is decorated supposedly scary, a bowl once full of sweets becomes empty and where the Halloween night television is terribly un-Halloweeny!

I have stumbled across some questions all about my Halloween preferences or better known on the Internet as the 'Halloween Tag' I never really do tags however because it is my first year documenting what I'm all about and because it's Halloween, I thought I should blog about this most festive time of year in the most interesting way I could! Enough of that, let's do some October 31st tagging!

Favourite Halloween movie?
I'm not the biggest fan of horror films because they're either really rubbish or they make me unable to sleep for weeks. I prefer Halloween films more un-scary like cartoons, so I'd probably say Monster House.

What age did you stop trick-or-treating?
I was 11 when I stopped, it was the year I started comprehensive school. It didn't necessarily bother me much because I still had lots of sweets at my house, but that didn't stop my parents from making me answer the door.

Favourite Halloween costume you've worn?
I was very traditional with costumes; a witch, a bride, a cat etc. Once I did go as a pumpkin fairy which was sort of different. I wish I had been more adventurous and I would always dress the same as my sister!

Do you like going to haunted attractions?
Although I'm always up for a scare, I'm quite a scaredy cat when It comes to ghosts and paranormal happenings even though it fascinates me. But yes I do like going to haunted attractions I regret it highly afterwards though.

Vampires or werewolves?
Werewolves without a doubt! This isn't because of Twilight.  This is purely because of Harry Potter, Remus Lupin is one of my favourite characters!

Favourite Halloween candy?
I've always disliked chewy sweets like refreshers (Google them) I much prefer lollies. However I prefer chocolate over sweets and my favourite chocolate is Cadbury's Creme Eggs and for Halloween they make the cream green, they are called 'Screme Eggs and they're delectable!

Do you decorate your house?
Always! Yet, since I've grown older the decorations have decreased along with how excited I get about it. I wish I was in America for Halloween, their decorations are so out there!

Have you ever repeated a costume?
Like I said before I never was really adventurous with costumes. I thought I was being somewhat different to everyone else dressing up as a cat and I think I went as a cat repeatedly for about 3 years.

Do you believe in ghosts?
Ever since I was very young I've had a strong belief in ghosts, this may have been influenced by my mother who'd always watch Most Haunted every night. I'm not afraid of ghosts though and I've never really experienced anything supernatural.

Tonight has been pretty quiet in all honesty. Yes, my sister and I have had to take in turns to answer trick-or-treaters at the door because we both equally hate that duty, but it's not been much hassle.

October 31st is over for another year and soon the sleigh bells will be ringing and I can't wait! So how was your Halloween? Answer some of the questions if you like!

Yankee Candle autumnal collection

Hello everyone!

It's not feeling extremely autumnal here in Wales... yet! However there's definitely been a significant change in the whether since October started. I believe that Autumn is the best season for everything; fashion, hairstyles, decor and probably my favourite, candles and scents.

My slight obsession with candles and scented things I blame entirely on my mother.  She has always wanted the house to smell amazing and always bought a variety of scents depending on the time of year. Despite this, we've agreed that vanilla is the best candle scent whatever the weather. After spectating upon my mother always browsing for the perfect candle, it has lead me to always have an opinion on the candles she is thinking of buying.

I strongly believe a house is not complete without a Yankee candle, who doesn't have one!? Over the years, my mother has somewhat collected a range of different Yankee's, her favourite ones are the tarts, she probably has about 30 of them. But in all due respect, I don't really want to talk about my mother anymore,  what I really want to talk about is how my the Yankee Candle company have come out with an autumn collection and obviously my mother didn't think twice about buying them!

And here they are! My mother bought them from QVC and she got them for £30, they were originally £60 so it was a proper bargain! It includes 3 different scents; Falling Leaves, Cider and Autumn Celebration which are all so autumny you just can't help having a warm feeling inside you when you smell them.

Falling Leaves
As suggested by the picture, Falling Leaves is the candle which we decided to light first. Unfortunately,  it was our least favourite and even though it has a extremely autumnal name, I reckon the scent is quite fruity for this time of year. I can't really decide what it smells like, it sort of smells like cinnamon apples, you're welcome to comment if you think differently because I'm really not sure.

Cider
Basically with Cider what you see is what you get and that's not necessarily a bad thing! It's probably the most popular autumn scent ever and it honestly can't get enough of it. I can't wait to burn this candle, walking in from school and being drowned by the autumny scent, I can't wait. I love the colour of this too.

Autumn Celebration
I would like to thank Yankee Candle for making heaven in candle form. It is by far my favourite and it's also a scent which could be used all year round. I'm not brilliant at distinguishing scents but I think this is partly pomegranate and berry, it's quite fruity but immensely autumnal. There is quite a heavy scent to it so my nose will always be filled with the delectable fragrance!

That was me somewhat falling in love with candles. It's common for me to drool over inanimate objects and with candles this scrumptious,  could you blame me? However I am almost positive that this collection was limited edition so if you want to get your hands on them it might me too late but I'm not certain on that.

What I'm wondering about is what's your favourite candle scent? What's your favourite candle brand?

wishlist #1

                                  Hello everyone!

It's finally a sunny Saturday and I'm sitting with my sister, uninterested in a Halloween film. So, I thought it was a very appropriate time to write a blog post!

I've recently been delving into the world wide web and even though I don't really look for much or ask for much and I'm not a very 'look before you buy' type either. However,  as I've been browsing the Internet,  I just couldn't stop myself from falling in love with a few things which are somewhat out of the price range of a fourteen year old so I decided to come up with the wishlist for the items which I desire and in my imagination have bought without a second thought!

White two-toned buckle Chelsea boots- I just love River Island shoes! Can we just appreciate these for a second? I love two-toned shoes, I think that they can add a classy/chic look to any outfit. They'd look gorgeous with a pair of mom jeans and a parka, and they would also go great dressed down with a pair of old skinnies and a tank top! I NEED THEM.
Soft vintage MOM jeans-  You either love or hate mom jeans and I personally love them. Obviously, I wouldn't want to look like I was stuck in the 80's while wearing them but I haven't got much shape to my figure and also having skinny mini legs means that lots of jeans look too big for me, so these jeans, even though they're consider 'unflattering' to the figure will provide me comfort.

Ice Watch- Crazy Lime- Since I was little I've had a bit of an obsession with watches. Even at the age of five, you'd find me flicking through Argos trying to find my ideal Minnie Mouse watch. There are so many different styles of Ice watches, and I like basically every single one. This one was favoured by me particularly because its green because it's my favourite colour, also I like the simplicity of it.

Fur collar biker jacket- I have recently bought a parka jacket meaning that I was eagerly searching clothes websites looking for one when I came across this. Topshop never fail to amaze with their jackets especially the more biker-type ones. My favourite colour normally for jackets is black because it contrasts well with my blonde hair. I love it, it's so fluffy!

Mac lipstick in Morange- I don't wear lots of make-up, usually  it's concealer, one layer of foundation and plenty of lip balm. But, I've decided to come out of my make-up wearing shell and invest in more lipsticks. Even though it's quite a summery colour, I love orange lipstick I feel it suits my skin tone more than say plum. I've already got a couple of orange lipsticks but I just want a more bolder one!

I understand this is a major long blog post but believe me, it could have been longer what, with all the items which l long to belong to me, I just picked out a certain few. Maybe I'll do another wishlist in the future (I've saved images for reference!)

I'd love to hear from you about what you are longing for at this moment in time so feel free to leave a comment.

Eyebrowssssss

                                                                        Hi there!

Today was a very sad day for me today. It was a day filled with pure anxiety.....today was the day I had my eyebrows waxed.

So ever since I was very young, I've had extremely dark eyebrows which no one has been able to explain to me because everyone in my family has quite light eyebrows and blonde hair. I've also got blonde hair and I've always felt quite different compared to my everyone else in my family. Now, until I was about 11 when all this beauty and make-up craze starts to kick in I never even considered my eyebrows but when I actually thought about make-up and my appearance, I realised that they were very dark and very thick but in quite a good shape.

Regretfully since then, I've highly poked around with my eyebrows leaving them to be in all different states and there have been times where I have been happy with my brows and times where I wish I could shave them off and hope that a pair of perfectly pristine eyebrows would take place above my eyes.

So, I know that plenty have girls have been in the same position as me where we realise we have eyebrows and become obsessed with them. Sometimes I'd become so obsessed with them that they would be the last thing I thought about before I go to sleep. Also because I was so obsessed, I found myself pulling out my eyebrows when I was bored and it developed into a bad habit. Despite doing this, I would still wonder why my eyebrows were in such a bad condition and I would blame anything in the world except for that I was pulling them out.

These were my eyebrows just before I had them waxed. As you can see, they are completely out of shape from each other due to all the times when I've pulled them out and over-plucked them. They were probably in the worst condition hat they've ever been in and believe me when I say they have much thicker than that!

Pulling faces

and...... voilĂ !
Here are my new brows! When I first saw them, I'm ashamed to say that I thought they looked absolutely ridiculous. However, once the redness and swelling went down (every time I've had them waxed I've been prone to bad redness) I realised that they actually looked really even which I have always wanted from my brows.

I'm leaving them grow a little thicker because I'm not overly fond of thin eyebrows even though they're not exactly thin, I want them to be just a tad thicker but keep the shape. I'm glad to say that I've said goodbye to pulling out my eyebrows and constantly worrying over them and even though it sound really ridiculous, I'm feeling less stressed out.

So, I never thought I'd be able to conquer my fear of having thinner eyebrows but I did and I love how they look!

Hope you're having a lovely day and feel free to leave a comment about your shall I say experience with your brows:D

Future home observations

Hey there!

Today I found myself sitting here pondering about what I'd like my future home would look like. I've always wanted to design my own home but unless I become a millionaire which I'm highly doubtful of, it probably won't happen. But that doesn't mean that I can't at least think about what I'd like it to look like, right?
I've always liked modern, modern anything and I am all over it. I think the picture above is a perfect example of the type of architecture which I would absolutely die for. I've always wanted to take care of my own garden. Not one with hundreds of flowers but one where I can mow the lawn and sculpt trees (not in animal shapes though!)

I also think that simple is supreme. A lot of the time, I would say I prefer how simple-looking architecture looks over highly decorative. Although the picture shows an oddly shaped house, the detailing isn't at all over complicated.

Again with the living room, I believe spacious is key! But, with having a spacious living it's vital not to have too little furniture so that it look empty. Also, colour coordinating is very important as well as not having too much colour in one room to make it look untidy. Big windows are a must too! Basically, a living room like the one above is perfect!

How perfect is this kitchen interior? I am totally in love with fire places and this one is in such an unusual place that it's hard not to love. Also, I've always wanted a diner style table ever since I was younger. The kitchen is in such a tidy condition compared to the state in my kitchen. I love stairs in a kitchen too.

This is such a beautiful bathroom, just look at the shape of the bath, it's so amazing! I have never experienced a full glass shower either and I totally want one! A must is that the shower and bath are separate because I'm  fussy like that. I like a big, spacious bathroom.

When it comes to bedrooms, the size doesn't necessarily matter, obviously I wouldn't want a box room, just enough to fit every furnishing I want in there. However, I don't want my bedroom heavily decorated because it makes it looked cluttered. I definitely want a balcony even if the view isn't the sea. Either that or a huge window. As you can see, I'm not one for privacy.

So I have seemed to have developed an obsession for stairs. I love these ones because they look like they're levitating and also because they are lit up. I like the window following the stairs to. Another favourite of mine are spiral staircases. Glass ones of those will do me lovely.

And when it comes to the outside/garden, I'm easily pleased so I'll leave you with some images of some of my favourite outdoor designs which I've stumbled across.
